Great question! For me the game's only fun if the other person wants to play. The rally only works if they hit it back. So if a stranger's genuinely not into it (and I've read the moment right, because not every moment is a bit moment), I take that as a sign to let the connection go. But with people I know well, sometimes the resistance totally is the game. It's so fun to slowly lure them in and "yes-and" their resistance until they're playing without noticing. Sometimes the whole bit is just making them roll their eyes hehe
